Makins Hat Company has made "hand blocked", hats one at a time in their factory in New York city since 1974. The company started by Marsha Akins unfortunately closed it's doors under the original Makins Hat Co. in October 2013. Makins used only Swarovski stones and the finest materials to produce their fine Women's Church and Dress Hats. Never will you see imitation rhinestones on Makins hats. So, please browse our collection of these fine limited designs, "original" Makins Hats, we have acquired from the" original designer, as they will not appear again under the Makins Hats LTD brand. Once they're gone...they're gone!
